Let's say I have a SCT tuner with 3 Bama tunes: Can I go into those tunes and change some of the parameters?
Say for instance, I change rear end gears: Can I go into one or all of those tunes and make that ratio adjustment myself, or must I request new tunes be written to accomodate that change?

If you have BAMA tunes and a simple SCT tuner, then you can get BAMA to change the tunes for you, anyway, that's the whole tunes for line deal.
If you have one of the interactive tuners with the (touch)screens, then yes.

I know with Bama you email them and they send you any new tune that you want, but I don't think you can mess with it on the SCT/ X3 one. I would just stick to emailing them to stay on the safe side, it's a little scary to be messing around with $30,000 if you ask me.

Bama disables the user-modifiable stuff like extra timing or fuel, as well as most or all of the tire diameter/axle ratio stuff. Their turnaround is fast in sending you the revisions FiK and BRS describe.....I've done it already for fan temperatures, which aren't even on the 2011-up SCT for our cars.

wfpostle,

On the 11+ we do lock a lot of the parameters. We do this because these cars are much more temperamental then previous years. Another reason we lock the parameters is because we offer a warranty for the GT guys and want to be able to control the quality and consistency of the tunes!

If you ever do need a tune adjustment or add a new modification to your Mustang, all you have to do is give the Bama team a call and they'll get you squared away very quickly. Our average turn around time is 24-48 business hours for adjustments and they're covered under our free tunes for life program!

If you need to get a hold of Bama, their number is 888-226-9764. I know its a pain not to be able to change things on your end, but I think you'll be very happy with Bama's work. Let me know if you have any questions!
