Can I convert my 95 Gt (5.0) to manual 5 speed from 99??

Hey, I can get my hands on a manual 5 speed tranny out of a 99 (4.6). I have a 95 gt auto and looking to convert to manual trans. Will the manual from a 99 fit on in my 95? I think he said it is a tremec 45 or 245, but couldnt find anything on 245 and the 45 is for cobras I believe...

The only problem with it is 2nd gear is gone. If it does fit, would I be okay in spending 20 bucks for the tranny, then rebuilding it? Would I spend more doing it this way or just stick with trying to find a stock 5 speed tranny out of a junk yard or buying new? Not sure how much it would even cost to rebuild, but just wondering if it would fit first... Thanks guys
