1989 coupe 5.0
The car has "shorty headers" a opposed to the the long tube ones.
It also has an off-road H-pipe.

Someone if offering me a "stock" h-pipe with cats ffrom a 1993 5.0
Can I fit it between my shorty headers and flows?

Let me know...

Thanks!

shorties are the stock size headers as far as where they mount, they come in equal and unequal lengths but that only refers to the actual length of each primary tube, they both end up to the stock collector location. Long tube headers are physically longer where the collector meets so a stock h-pipe wouldn't work and you need a short h-pipe.

So to answer your question yes a stock h-pipe will work with your shortie headers.

x3 on it being able to bolt up. why are you getting rid of your offroad h-pipe? is it because of emissions or noise?
