I just purchased a pretty decent 1993 5.0 Mustang from a junk yard for 1k and I want to fix her up. I notice the seats are not that comfortable and I found some 2003 Mustang seats that appear to be the same design as my 1993 Mustang seats except the 2003s are Leather while mine appear to be some kind of fabric.

Here's a
link to the Mustang 2003 seats.

My seats appear to look similiar to shape ill try to provide a pic.

Basiclly I'm asking is it possible to use new/more modern leather seats in my old Mustang?

reuholster:

That's a lot of money for the seats plus shipping. Unless your seat frames are broken I'd say to reupholster what you have. There are a couple of venders that help support this site that have upholster kits. It's really not that hard if you are a little mechanically inclined. One of the venders even has some nice leather kits, plus new foam (called buns) and you'll have brand new seats not 2003 seats. Just my .02.

Yes the 2003 front seats will fit but the rear will have to be modified.

Also that is a good chuck of change for them seats. You could have your old seats completely redone with new foam and upholstery of your choosing for less that price. Just a thought.
All you need is to take ur seat tracks and put them on the new seats.....and like the others have stated, thats a pricey swap....there are several sites out there that have self re-upholster kits for half the price of the seats.....
Wow those are expensive. Check your local craigslist frequently and you're bound to find some nice leather seats for a lot cheaper. I found a set of front leathers out of a 2000 that matched my interior for $100 a piece. The driver side had a few minor cracks but it was worth it for me. Also look for wrecked mustangs that the interior is still intact and in good shape. Most of the time those guys will take whatever they can get to make up for their loss.

those seats should be WAY WAY WAY cheaper than they are listed for. if they were cobra or bullit seats and it came with the back, i could see $750 with $150 shipping. not for stock GT seats. thats REDICULOUS...

you could get two new corbeau race seats for the price of those seats....

look elsewhere, you can find them cheaper...
