I installed the Blowfish racing bracket that hard mounts the shifter to the transmission. The difference in shift quality is simply amazing. I never thought the shifter itself could be causing all of my shifting problems (or more specifically, the way the factory shifter is mounted partially to the body). I really thought the transmission was damaged internally.

NVH has predictably increased. I have no issue with the vibration but there's something inside the shifter itself that's rattling, sounds like the reverse lockout mechanism, the part that telescopes. Can this be taken apart?

Obviously the gold standard would be to "GET A MGW" but that's half a grand I would rather not spend, especially since the shift quality is very good already.

2012 GT.

Actually if you watch the MGW race spec install video he takes the stock shifter apart for the install. You could watch that

Ah, to hell with it. Just ordered the MGW race shifter. I'm tired of shifting problems.
