I just finished a engine rebuild and after having the car run for 10 min. or so a very little smoke exits the exhaust. It stinks like gas but very old gas, almost 2 years old. If I give it gas there seems to be more smoke but not much at all, just stinks. I have no leaks and no coolant in the oil. The car sounds and runs great! Pleae help.

sure it can, when gas gets old it turns to a yellowish stale oil like fluid

why in the world would you even be running old gas in a new motor?, the shelf life is about 3 months, after that it's varnish

I know, I know....stupid! I only ran it for about 15 min. I am going to syphon it out and add new gas. Should I add anything to the new gass to clean out the old?

I'd get as much out as you can...then refill with premium and a bottle of "heet" gas line treatment...you can get it at Wal Mart...it should absorb the junk/water etc
