I suppose with enough flex additive it should be ok.
Can you paint rubber?
I don't like how drab the rubber elbow looks on my CAI. Can rubber be painted? Or will it crack soon afterward and does anyone have any suggestions as how to "spice" it up?

What is flex additive?
It's added to the paint for flexible (plastic) parts.What is flex additive?
Could also try the Krylon Fusion rattle can stuff.I did some research and apparently adhesion promoter will work. I'll try that and see what happens.
