It could be any pulley on your engine making that noise but will probably be the idler or tensioner pulley. Raise the hood and see if you can pinpoint which pulley it is.
Can't figure out that whining noise
I have heard that ford's power steering pumps always whine...but my is too loud...i have straights on my 1998 v6, but i can still hear the whining noise...it accelerates when as i accelerate, goes up as rpm's go up...could i do anything about it?...or could it be something else?...can an alternator whine?
