My recent head upgrade seemed to aggrivate my slow but managable oil leak from the oil pan/ rear main. Now the leak is more than a minor nuisance and something i don't want to deal with/ or forget about and have something bad happen. So now we are doing new oil pan/pump/pickup etc and rear main while its out. So far the bottom end is stock... The quiestion is go with canton setup which has a scraper and tray included (15-644) / moroso 20506 pan with windage tray/ or the sb ford mikodon kit 31925. They are all 7 qt capaticites, but the moroso gives the most ground clearence, which is important for me since the car is lowered. I dont' mind adding some things such as windage trays/ scrapers, but don't need to go crazy. i am looking to make an all around killer street machine, and hopefully a few trips to the track.

I have a moroso setup. I like it. Windage tray took a little trimming to bolt on, but other than that it was an easy install.
Do you remember which part of the tray you had to trim up?
I was leaning toward the moroso, they also have one with a crank scraper... i'm wondering if that would be worth it on my current or future setup. The canton looks nice but i'm not a huge fan or the gold.. probably a stupid thing to worry about but silver looks alot better to me. The canton is also more expensive.

My Moroso has been fine, but I've only had mine for 6 months and a few thousand miles. Going to Lime Rock to race next week, lets hope it stands up to that!

the canton does look really good, maybe a little overkill but.... summit has good prices on thier products. is see that a windage tray is included with the 15-644, is that the screen style or louvered?

Well I got a milodon used and it worked out perfectly and saved some coin that went to the pump and shaft.

You can't go wrong with any of the three, but if ground clearance is important than go with the one that gives you some room.

i think i'm going with canton.. i started off moroso, but i must have overelooked that canton retains stock depth... and for a little more money they include a lot more features....
does anyone know whether the included removable windage tray is screen or solid louvered?
