Uh... is it hitting the rev limilter? Watch the tach so that it doesn't hit the red line and bounce back.
do you mean it is wheel hopping?
its not hitting the rev limiter. and yes it is wheel hopping. the tires wont just spin when i do a burnout, the cqar just starts bouncing and shaking. i mean, the tires spin while its doing this, but it shouldnt be shaking and bouncing like it does. anyone know what could cause this and how to fix it?
Okay your quad shocks are either off or garbage... Have you taken them off to put a wider tire on your car? Or if they are still on (if you don't know the what the quad shock is it is the shock that angles at 45 degrees on the rearend pointing towards the rear of the car.) is there any seepage coming out of it going down the piston? If so they are garbage... go to your local parts store or 50resto.com or texasmustang.com they can hook you up and fix your problem. Let us all know how it turns out!
You may also have a broken tranny or motor mount . . . .
ohno50. you are absolutely right, they are off the car but i didnt think that would cause this problem because i took them off my friends stang while replacing the lower control arms and it did not cause this problem. but then again they were aftermarket CA's and had an extra part that bolted around the axle. thanx a lot
i just got the set of quad shocks off my friends car and it solved the problem, thanx a lot guys
Yeah, alot of Guys think you can ditch the quads as soon as you put aftermarket LCAs on and this is not always the case as each car is different. A great test is 60 Foot times with and without the quads, you would be surprized how many people actually need to put their quads back on!
