Car "burps" at idle?

Hey all,

Wanted to see if you could shine some light on a very minor (i think) issue that i've noticed with my 2011 5.0.

When I stop at a red light or sit in traffic for a few moments the car will settle in at a 650RPM perfectly with fluctuations of 10 or so RPM.

Then, randomly it'll "burp" which feels like a small pothole when driving and last for less than half a second.

RPMs seem to drop when this happens. No problems driving and it seems to be very random but happens atleast once.

Any idea what this is?

The a/c can cycle on and off in a variety of climate settings. This can cause a momentary dip in idle, if that's what you're trying to say.

Even if I am not running the AC? I see the gradual dip when i engage the system in the warmer months but this is an abrupt here and gone "burp/thump" which feels like a small pothole in the road but it only occurs sitting still.

Awesome, good to know. Today was a little warmer and it seemed to run just fine with no burps. might just be a cold weather thing.

Thanks for the input!
