So today it was 70 here in Pa and I thought what a beautiful day to wash Miller so I take the 45 minutes to do a good job, go in for dinner. When I come back outside its raining, oh well i guess i'll just have to wash it again tomorrow.

I can't recall ever washing my car when it didn't later rain. Oh well. :)
thats just mother nature helping you rinse her off....:D
My mom gets mad at me when I wash my car. It always rains afterward.
Yep, those storms just blew thru my way.
That sucks...Ive had that happen a couple times right after waxing it...:nono:
it has rained 10/10 times for me within 24 hrs after i wash my car. I even did just the windows one days with windex and it rained no more than 2 hours after i did that.
This is the longest stretch in 3 years w/o a wash job. It's not worth the effort anymore if rain is on the radar within a 24 hour period.:nogrinner
Sunday I decided to go ahead and wash the car, even though I knew it was supposed to rain this week, and it rained good yesterday.

Well Sunday night we go up out to dinner and we take the Stang. I park in an open parking lot, no trees, no power lines, light poles or anything nearby.

I come out, and there is a 2" wide by 8" long streak down the passenger side of bird crap, and 2 - 4" diameter splats on the strips on the hood.

So of course when we got home, I got a bucket and sponge and wiped them down.

LOL, I hate that! Here on Cape Cod … NEVER EVER park under or near a light pole (wind). The flying dump rats (sea gulls) will get you every time.

Isn't that why you wax it? :hihi:
See that's the problem with nice days. EVERYBODY decides to go out and wash their cars. All that water evaporates, forming clouds, and it rains.:scratchchin
Best bet, go out on a Tuesday morning at say 10:00. Nobody ever washes their car then.;)
Same here

It never fails to rain just after the car is washed but I have a bigger problem. AUTOMATIC LAWN SPRINKLERS! We're gettting to that time of year to turn on the sprinklers and keep the lawn and shrubs nice and green. I make sure I have the sprinklers turn on after I go to work, which pisses off the wife. She wants them on early in the morning. Says its better of rthe lawn and plants. I care more about how the stang looks than the lawn! Fortunately I control the sprinklers. Now I have to make sure to avoid the run off puddles from all the other people watering their lawns!

Its tough to keep the stang looking good. People just don't understand the things we have to go through for our mustangs!:gringreen
If it has to rain, I love to watch the beading up & running off of water over a freshly waxed Mustang.
A few weeks ago i took my car to the wash tub for a nice full detail, i was coming home and the road i must take to get to my house was under construction and covered in the filthy " non potable" water. i was not a happy camper

My neighbors think I'm nuts, because often if it's drizzling on a Saturday morning, I'll go out and wash my car.

It keeps the car damp so it doesn't dry spotted before I can finish, a major problem in the Florida sun, and helps rinse the car.

I then back it into the garage to dry and detail it. :)
I thought about playing with mine today but they arer talking a bit of rain for today and tonight. It does not look like it will but if I do anything with it rain will pour from the skies.
It rained for 2 solid weeks (on and off) starting 1 day after I rolled off the dealer lot. She hasnt seen a day in the rain since.

I have washed the car, pulled it into the garage to sit overnight. The next morning, it pours all day and I never even get to see it clean.

Arrgh! Why God why? I think we wash our cars and God looks upon them and weeps with joy.

"IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL [sob]!"
