Carb issues on 1966 Mustang

I have a 66 mustang coupe, a friend of mine had told me that my carb is bad he tried tuning and adjusting and nothing. My mom said its been rebuilt more than I can count. I figure its time for a new one, its been in my fam for years and has been passed down to me recently. I would like to know the best bang for my buck, as far as power and conservation goes. Which carb works best for a 200 CI inline 6?
