Carb or injection?

I was wondering, I've read a bit about both types of fueling systems, and from what I've read, fuel injection is what you want for more even distribution of gasoline when higher RPMS...So why is it that most big car guys would rather have a carburated engine than a fuel injected one?
J/W Cuz i'm a noob :p

in the end, you gain a few more horsepower with a carb......alot of the old school guy's know this, so they run carb's....they don't like the fact that a computer reads and adjust's their engine and fuel.....

I have a friend with a carb'd motor and a 100 shot of nitrous running 10.80's......
