would it be possible to have a crack in the carb spacer and when engine started (cold) leaks out anti freeze and when hot carb spacer expands and no leak. I found anti freeze on manifold and checked hoses's.

Didn't you post this already?

Not complaining, but there are some real knowledgeable folks on AFM.

It's been a long while since a 144, 170 or a 200 CI Ford motor has let me massage it's outer and inner parts.

Some of them came with a spacer that indeed had water flowing through it and it could leak. Usually because the steel tubes going into the aluminum spacer rusted away. You may be on the right track.
