I'm getting a 302 long block that was formally carbuerated and I am putting it into a 87 mustang GT which already has the EFI wiring harness set up and everything. What all has to be done to turn this long block to an EFI.

I'm thinking just the intake set up and plug it all in but that seems too simple, so someone please enlighten me...

I ran a '69 302 in my '88 T-Bird for about 2 years with all of the fuel injection.I dropped in the engine,Bolted all of the pieces on as if it were the 5.0 that it had,and went with it.Distributor,intake,exhaust,accessories,etc.I prefer the roller moter (I've got the 5.0 H.O. in her now),but it did pretty good for the 2 years I drove it like that.Don't over cam it,or it will run like crap, unless you have Mass Air,which I don't.......yet.What year is the engine? You may have to get the right balancer and flywheel depending on how old the engine is.
