I want to rebuild my carb on my 200c.i. 65 coupe, its the single barrel so it seems like a fairly easy task, but I'm not sure where to start. Where can I find a kit for this / what else will I need? Thanks

know of any other ones? I looked on there and it looks like they only have kits for a 4v and 2v, I have the 1v....
I found it. Click the link and scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll see "carburetor rebuild kits" then click on the drop down menu to find the one you need. "64'-69' Autolite 1v"

Hello.:) The GP-Sorensen part number for the kit that you need is 96-333. You can take that to a local autoparts store and they can cross that over to whatever brands that they carry. Personally, I prefer either the motorcraft or the borg/warner.:)

Veronica is right most big auto parts stores carry carb rebuild kits for anything you might wanna find a book or manual to show you how to rebuild it.A little tip i use a big sheet pan and lay everything out on it so you don't lose any parts.

I agree on the buying of name brand rebuild kits as Motorcraft or Borg-Warner. Some of the discount part stores will carry cheap kits that will, naturally, have cheaply made parts or parts that don't really fit correctly. Get the best quality you can find, even if its twice the price of the cheap kit.

One item that you may want to get from the part store is the 3 quart (96oz.) can of carb and parts cleaner. It's like a can of paint and it has a basket inside of it to place the parts. You disassemble the carb and place the metal pieces in the basket and drop them into the can of cleaner. Follow the directions on the can and you'll have clean parts for the rebuild.

You'll need to wear gloves and have some eye protection because the cleaner is caustic. You hose down the parts with water to remove the cleaner after they have soaked. The cleaner will remove the yellowish chromate color from the carb body, but if you want it to recolor it back to original, The Eastwood Co. has a spray can that renews the color. Some people like things to look like new when they restore, but the paint isn't necessary.

Hey theanks for the reply. OK I have a Motocraft....the tag plate near the barrel says DOPF K

It sits on a poor man version of the 65 convertable. I guess it was the best gas milage for the earliest version.

Im sporting a 6cyl.....not sure if its the 170hp or the 200? anyway of telling? Its got a brass engine tag riveted to the driver side of the engine housing. Thanks HD65
