CDC Aggressive chin spoiler problem!

11369 Views 22 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Liftedbronco
I have a CDC Aggressive chin spoiler. It looks freaking awsome, but I have some issues. First, my mustang has the Eibach pro spring kit, so it sits lower, thus making the chin spoiler scrap easily. Is there any kind of lip or anything like that to protect it on the market. Also, does anyone make a grille to fit in that big gap it makes. I used to like how it looked without the grille, but to much crap flies in there and gets in the ac condenser. Any help would be great!

Putting something on the spoiler to “armor” it against scraping will just reduce your clearance and therefore make it scrape more. Maybe to the point of flexing the spiler at its mounts. Probably not such a hot idea.

Well Im sure that if it was as thin as sheet metal or something, the amount of ground clearance lost would be very minimal. Im actual thinking of cutting a piece of sheet metal, like a strip, to put underneath the chin spoiler.

The Cervinis lower grill will fit a CDC chin spoiler?
I have a front lip going on in a week but when I tried to fit it up my billet grill filled the opening and I couldnt get it in place. I used a cutting wheel and cut off the bottom bar and shaved some of the edges. Now it will fit perfect

I thought he wanted to close off the lower bumper cover opening more. I blame it on lack of Coffee:)

Sure... Whatever you say.:so
I really wish I hadn't bought the cdc aggressive chin spoiler in hindsight..... it didn't fit 100% perfect and I also agree that a lot of **** flies in through that "hole" ..... don't get me wrong.... it looks great... but now my stock bumper is all cut up and unusable without the chin spoiler.... i never thought that of all the mods i have done the one mod I would sort of regret would be the cdc aggressive.... should have just gotten the classic.... oh well its reason to get a nice new street scene gen 1 bumper down the road I guess!:D

I thought he did too.

I just saw this part on the JLT site while ordering some cleaner and goop for my air filter:

SilverHorse Racing Mustang GT Lower Grill Inserts [SHR-S197-200-GT] - $59.00 : JLT PERFORMANCE SHOP, Welcome to JLT performance

The lower grill inserts from SilverHorse Racing are designed for a quick, snap-in installation, yet are designed to not only finish the appearance of your Mustang's front end but also protect the radiator, condensor, and auxiliary intercoolers from large impact debris while driving or competing.

These pieces were developed in conjunction with Ford Motor Company's Technology Transfer Program, and have been tested to 120+MPH. These pieces can also be riveted or glued into position for even more protection for your expensive engine cooling components. Fits GT ONLY!! Will NOT fit the GT/CS.

I do want to close off the lower opening. No one makes a grille that will fit with the CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler. But, 3D Carbon does have a blank mesh grille with the same pattern as the stock "honeycomb" grille for $38. I bought that and am in the proccess of fabricating some brakets to fit the grille in place. So far it's looking great. I will post pics when finished, might even start making kits and selling them, since nobody else is.

Finished, Its a bit hard to see because it really creates alot of shade and darkens the area, but i like that. Let me know what you think!

I guess so, we also have the same spoiler. I just got this GT500 rear bumper put on as well.

I will definitly get a write up of the fabrication proccess for the grille. I will be making some of these to sell pretty soon, if you are interested. Also, I am waiting to hear back from CDC's product development manager about having them sell it.:bigthumbsup

Thanks! I think so too. My wife said it always looked like something was missing there before. I think it makes the front end look alot cleaner.

yah we have similar body mod's thats for sure. :bigthumbsup how much did that gt500 bumper run you? i mean i always wondered if it was worth the money $$$ considering its such a subtle change... so subtle most people couldnt even tell by looking at it that something had been changed.... i do like it though!
