Good morning everyone,
I might be attempting to change my spark plugs in a couple of weeks on my 2008 Mustang GT. I am not sure if they have been changed by previous owners but my car is up to 145K miles now and I think it is time. I have heard that the stock plugs can break off which is kinda nerve wracking. What stock plugs would you recommend that are 1 piece for my mustang. Here is a picture of the boot on top of the plugs.
I am not sure what plugs to purchase for this boot type. Thanks in advance!

there are lots of threads on here with all the details -- I do not want to attempt to restate all that for fear of getting it wrong -- try the search and you should be able to find them

Get your replacement plugs (Ford Motorcraft) directly from the Ford Dealer.

Don’t get them from an auto parts store.

Remove the current plugs with the engine warm, specifically, at 160F, by hand DO NOT USE ANY AIR-OR BATTERY POWERED RATCHET TOOLS. Re-install the new plugs with a q-Tip application of anti-sieze paste on the plug threads in the same manner as they were removed - by hand. Torque to Ford specs and re-torque after the first tank of gas.

Clean that coil if it is black you have 2 piece problem plugs. Brown one piece. Do not heat the engine, do it cold. Carefully loosen plug 1/8 turn. I used a torque wrench and the plug cracked free at 30 - 35 ft lbs. Spray some carb cleaner on the base and allow to soak 30 minutes. The cleaner needs to penetrate below the threads to loosen up carbon deposits. Try to turn and if it is still tight add more carb cleaner. I just changed mine yesterday and had no problems.
