Charcoal box..necessary? 1986 Mustang LX

Trying to remove everything I dont need from the engine bay but I was wondering... is there a sensor in my charcoal box that will effect anything else or is there any other reason why I might need it?

There's no sensor in it. All it does is absorb the gas fumes that
come into it from the vent tube that is hooked to your fuel tank.

i have taken them off,just use a fuel filter on the hose so it can breath and cut down on fumes smelling....
