Hey fellas, was driving and i heard a loud fuse pop, and voltage dropped. Battery light came on. Had alternator bench tested, its good. Brand new battery. I thinking it may be a slightly frayed wire from the top of alternator plug, or i hear it could also be a fuse link. Tested battery with a test light and it showed either an open circut or a short. Im wondering where to start, also wondering if i were to replace plug and reconnect wires with connectors, will that solve an open circut problem Any help would be greatly appreciated, as Im currently getting to work on a skateboard, and its starting to snow around here!
Thanks guys

What do you mean by "Tested battery with a test light and it showed either an open circut or a short"?

Assuming you have checked all fuses, start looking into Fusible links. Test each run from end to end with an Ohm meter.
