it's usually the gas cap isn't tightened enough.tampa said:So here's the deal. Last Friday, my check engine light goes on. I was bringing it in on Monday to have the Shaker 500 replaced (that's another long story - it didn't get done), so I went in a little early to see if they could hook it up and see what the deal was. They did, and its some kind of an eveporative leak or something. Easy to fix, but they said it can take at least a day to find it, and I didn't have the time. They said it was fine to drive, though until I can bring it back in. Any thoughts? It seems to run fine, but I hate driving with a check engine light on.
Thanks!
