yea my check engine light has come on twice in the last three weeks, but mine was the gas cap both times. But the check engine light only deals with the catalytic converter, and the gas cap apparently. hmm... i dont think that helped at all. yea get the codes checked out

the check engine light deals with more then just a cat converter failure and loose gas cap. it picks up failures in sensors, and components.
