This might be a stupid question: can I use Chevy rocker arms on a Ford? I am looking to upgrade to a full roller setup but my heads are not milled for guide plates and use the old style rail type rockers. Instead of disassembling the top end and getting them milled, I was looking for a roller rocker that would work. I found that Comp Cams makes a roller tip rocker that would work. I also noticed that many manufacturers make a "self-aligning" full roller rocker for late model Chevy's. This is basically a lip on both sides of the roller tip that acts like the rails. One example is Proform part # 66915. In theory this should work since the valve stems for both fords and small block chevys is 11/32" and the ratios are both 1.6. What I'm not sure of is the spacing between the studs and valves. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?
