So, my '94 GT 5 speed has been running pretty crappy, getting bad gas mileage, like 18-20 mpg on pure highway miles. Its been sluggish. So, my bro just bought a '95 GT 5 speed and of course he had it on jackstands before it was a day old. Yes!!! But, he did O/R h pipe, custom intake and bumped timing. He and my dad (also owns a '94 GT 5 speed) said that it ran better than mine. They tried my dad's modded MAS sensor/housing and it ran worse. So, long to short, they cleaned the stock MAS sensor and put it back in and it ran better than the modded one and felt crazy strong. So, I finally bought a tamper proof torx set to pull my MAS sensor out and clean the two wires with a Qtip and acetone. Put it back in (along with putting my stock catted h pipe back on for smog) and the car was a totally different car. It felt stronger/faster than when I had the O/R h pipe on.

So, if you haven't yet, clean your MAS sensor wires. Be very careful of course, as you can hose yourself if you break the wires. Use a delicate hand and lots of lighting. I was able to get quite a bit of "gunk" off the wires. Anyway, it just got 23 mpg with only 50 miles driving with the clean sensor and the other 200 miles pre-cleaned. So, I'm very happy with my Stang again. Makes me want to keep it. Its got 128k miles on it and needs some rings (burnin' some oil) but runs good now. Later
Chris
