I want to clean my engine bay its full of sand/dust... i live in fl and its like 99% sand.

Can i just use water to hose it out, or are there better products to use.

Also are there any parts i need to watch out for? you know not get wet or moise? Id thin the coils maybe? i rememb eron my camaro i had to put a plastic bag over the carb and ignition(distributer cap ) to keep it dry.

I just blow off the engine with an air gun and wipe afterward with a dry cloth. The less water (preferably none) you get on the engine the better! :smoke:

I just hose it down , not on full blast , I stay away from the air filter and try not to get the alternater that wet !
After that I wipe it down with some rags , and then I start the engine to dry the rest , lube up the throttle spring , hood latch , Armor All some of the plastic , and its All clean !
