Throwout bearing. Wait...pretty early for that, and s'posed to make noise with clutch pedal pushed in, not out I'd thought.

These cars make lots of odd noises and ticks anyways. I swear my car actually farted the other day. Garages amplify all of that (mine sure does), so I'd make sure you hear this outside the garage as well, or your dealer sure isn't.

I'll listen when I get home and pull into the garage tonight myself.
thx stoopy, i had my windows closed and just idleing and just noticed the sound .there hasnt been that sound before , but ill be driving later tonight and listen some more . again thx. vynle . wondering if it could bea fluid problem . i was under impression that this is a sealed tranny never needing service( lol). hell i dont even know where to add fluid or if you can .
I have the same noise in neutral with the clutch out. It has been there since new. I believe it is gear rollover noise which is just the sound of the gears turning inside the trans with no load on them. That is why you don't hear it while driving. It won't hurt anything and I don't think you can really do anything about it. These transmissions seem very noisey in general.
