I have a 66 K-Code with a 4 speed transmission. The clutch pedal will not return to the full upright position when released. I have to pull the pedal upwards with my foot to return it to the starting position. Any ideas for solving the problem?

How is the return spring on the clutch/brake assembly? Sounds like the spring is broken or has slipped off.

There is a bushing at the top of the clutch pedal that is a common fail item. Most of the aftermarket suppliers will offer a kit to replace it. I used the roller bearing style in mine rather than the original and it works great. The pedal works nice and smoothly and returns properly. There is also supposed to be a plastic bushing where the pedal spring hooks under the dashboard. This is often damaged or missing. It is also available in the aftermarket.
