Clutch question

I asked this in the lounge but it probably belongs in here, I have a 96 GT and I don't know if its this way with all mustangs or maybe mine needs to be replaced, are all the clutches semi stiff to push, and on mine, the clutch is very unforgiving, if I'm driving I have to make sure that thing is pushed up all the way or else I grind my gears. Of course coming from a 93 altima 5-speed maybe I just need to get used to it, just wondering if this is normal or not, I appreciate the help.

A clutch on a mustang has a lot more holding power then your altima. It will be stiffer. Try and make sure you push the clutch all the way to the floor before you put it in gear.
I had the same problem - VERY stiff clutch.

Half a year ago, the throw out bearing failed on my stang. This was only about 1/2 year after replacing the whole clutch assembly (including TO Bearing) and re-surfacing the fly wheel. Obviousely I was pi$$ed.
Going back to the dealership, they took the tranny down again, installed new pressure plate, clutch disk, TO bearing, resurfaced the FW again AND (on my request, and I also payed for this part) they installed a new shift fork and a new clutch cable.

HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! The clutch feels like a stock four banger's clutch.

My advice:
Replace the clutch cable and you will feal a huge difference.
