If you know you have a leak , then testing it is a waste of time . You have to take the heads off anyway .

i would like to know if a co2 test work to see if it's my head gasket or the head which is leaking???

i don't know if i have a leak because i dind't see any coolant coming from the outside.that's why a did a co2 testing to check if i have co2 with my coolant.if i had it,that it would mean that my head gasket or my engine head have something.
in the morning,i always check the coolant level and the overfill tank.sometimes is higher than the right level or lower or even.
no,i have no leak that i can see visually
You could run a compression test. That should tell you the condition of your motor and headgasket.
