I have a 92 LX Convertible. Im tired of my mushy Ford Racing progressive rate springs. I want to run a good specific rate spring but cant seem to find anyone that makes them for a convertible. Can anyone tell me if its possible to run a coupe spring in my convt? Whats the difference between the two? I have heard good things about the Eibach Road Race spring for Autocrossing. Any info will help. Thanks ~ Mark

im not sure of the specifics involving the fox body mustangs. but im pretty sure that it has a lot to do with weight. convertibles tend to be heavier because of extra support structures added to make up for the lack of the roof. but i think this is just a generality, and probably isnt the reason for different springs in the stangs
