can i cut my coil springs on my 84 gt to lower the front end. i want to lower it about an 1 1/2"??

im not sure cutting a spring is a good idea. its kinda the "slow kid" way of lowering your car. youre better off buying a good set of progressive rate springs, or if you know what type of application you want (drag / road race / street) then even specific rate springs. but i dont thinkg cutting is a good thing to do...

Don't do it. It will ride like crap and is not worth the effort to remove all the brake hardware and strut. Get some good springs like Steeda sport springs or even Ford racing springs.
