It wouldn’t hurt but heat shielding a inlet tube isn’t going to do much good unless there is a LOT of underhood heat like you get with turbo cars or the tubing is metal which will soak up a lot more heat than a plastic/composite will.

If it's metal just spary it with some truck bed liner that will help to disapate the heat some. But like he said unless you have a turbo the temp drops fast when your moving. Try hooking up your data logger and watch the AIT while you're driving.

Save your $.
Even at idle speed, the airflow velocity thru the intake tube is too high to absorb a sufficient amount of heat from the tube wall(plastic or metal) that will reduce your engine's performance.

Besides, your 2010 stock air intake has a design feature that's much more critical than the temperature of the air inlet tube for insuring that the engine's IAT is minimized, i.e., it sucks in cooler air from outside of the engine compartment at all times, even when the car is motionless with the engine idling.
