Ok so truth be told I'm a S/C & N/A type of engine builder and the only turbo engine I ever worked on was a Grand National 231ci v6 (I think its been over 10yr:yup:) and I have been looking @ Turbo Kits for Ford Mustangs and was wondering if anyone has heard of em, some locals say they had a few Q A problems in the past (flange on exhaust side would crack) but the newer kits fixed it...

also this kit has...

1. an on3 70mm turbo(is this too big/small?), .70ar cold and .68 hot(don't know what this spec is), T-4 flanged (size of flange)

2. 38mm wastegate (2 big/small?) w/ 3.6,5.8 and 8.8psi springs (I want the 8.8 now and 12-20psi after forged engine build)(Is that possible w/ this turbo or wastegate ?)

3. 50mm blow-off valve (is this too big/small?)

4. it taps into the engine oil and returns it into the oil pan. (is taping the oil pan ok/problems???)

and we used to have to feed the turbo oil for a few min. after shutdown so the turbo could spool down and not cook the oil in the turbo. Is this still the case??? and do they make a self oiling like centi's n some roots s/c ??? And just a comment, but isn't the oil from an engine bad if something goes/blows up, and wouldn't this oil destroy the other if one or the other blows.

I know these r allot of questions, as I am trying to "study-up" on this topic. If any of my afm family can answer any of em please answer as I am trying to get as much info as possible on turbo's...(a good article or posts even 4 me 2 read)

I have been looking for more info about on3 as well. I seen their kits a while back and the price is very appealing. Granted you still have to piece a few other things in like the front suspension, tune, and supporting mods. They have a few clips on youtube of their kits, as well as some customers have put videos of thier cars. I was reading the comments there to try and get some feedback on them, but wasn't having too much luck. I actually thought about doing a turbo build today, I got a buddy with a TT300ZX that is a monster. Gotta give him a run for the money, lol.

The On 3 Performance turbo kits are ill-fitting turbo kits.Misaligned angles that the flanges were welded to the pipes at.The V-band clamps are low rent cheapos that don't adequately sqeeze on the joints and deform as you tighten them down even before they are bottomed out and leak. The weld quality is terrible and the kit isn't structurally sound.Cheap and popular doesn't always mean good. There is a critical lack of clearance incertain areas including the tie rod area.If you don't install different V-band clamps than
what comes with the kit you will get exhaust leaks. To run this
kit properly it mite have to be reworked and modified as it is only
a 2K turbo kit.You get what you pay for more often than not.Spacing the k member is a must for proper fitment.I found that some shops will not install this On 3 Performance turbo kit for you as there is a high probability for comebacks and way too much effort to get it to fit properly. The bottom line is it's a cheap turbo kit and
you can't expect to much. You get what you pay for when it comes to turbo kits. The Master Power turbo's have been known for cracking on the cold side and their are better options out there
for turbo selection.I have installed three On 3 Performance turbo
kits and all three turbo kits had fitment issues and the quality
of the On 3 Performance turbo kits are the worst.Definitley choose
a different turbo kit to purchase.

Two of my customer's On 3 Performance turbo kits had missing peices that were not in the boxes.Dealing with On 3 Performance
was terrible they didn't return my phone calls and they took forever
to ship the missing parts in the turbo kit that should have been there so,the customer service at On 3 Performance was pretty horrible in my experience and I will never install a On 3 Performance
turbo kit for a customer ever again. The worst thing I seen with this
company was a guy by the name of Steve that works for On 3 Performance physically threatened a respected member on the SN
forums.
If you are looking for a turbo kit that has excellent fitment and
quality you should definitley look into the Hellion turbo kits they
are great.I installed two of these Hellion turbo kits and I highly
recommend them. www.hellionturbosystems.com
