So, I loved my 2005 v6 convertible Performance White Mustang dearly. I had it shipped 4 months ago all the way from the states and I enjoyed driving it day by day till a few weeks ago I drove over a silly, shallow, drop of water and learned how slippery it is.

This week it started raining and I lost all possible confidence I had in this car. It drives well but if I step a little bit on the gas while there's water on the road, it becomes slippery like hell.

I had rear Winter tires nonetheless.

I researched a bit and learned that Traction Control is the proper solution for this problem so I called my sole local representative and they informed me that they cannot install one since it needs tons of wiring, changing the computer system and a hell lot of work.

What do you think? It's a mustang that I can't drive faster than 25-30mph when it rains or had rained a few hours earlier.

Thanks guys,

Yea doing a Install of TC would involve a-lot of work. Still I cant see how your Stang acts like that in the Rain, I've never driven mine in the rain so I dont know what to expect. Do you have Good Tires on it? What are your Roads made of in Beirut? I lived in Florida years back and I worked on a Paving Crew that put down New Roads (Ashphalt) some of the Ingredients in the Ashphalt were (Shell) from the Shell Fish that came from the Ocean next to Florida. When it Rained the Roads were Slippery as Heck from the Shell in the Ashphalt and there was always a-lot of Accidents when it Rained, it was like driving on Black Ice.
You just had to be careful when you drive during the Rain. All I can say is Mabey Invest on some Really Good Tires that are ment for your kind of Driving Situation.

I don't normally have problems on concrete, asphault, etc. I have BFG all terrain tires though.. At the same time though, you have to give it credit for being a Mustang, they love to spin the tires :bigthumbsup
