Is there a special tool for doing a compression test on 99-04 GT's? I have done compression tests on my 72 Nova before so i HAVE seen the instrument, however due to the location of the New Edge 4.6 spark plugs, there has to be a special compression tester for these engines right?

as long as the adapter for the gauge is the same style as the plug threads, it'll work.

14mm I believe is what you need. Nothing special to it, just like the Nova.

Yup, that's all, if it threads in there right, it will work, location has nothing to do with it, it goes into the chamber and that's all that matters. Make sure you disconnect the ignition and check it at WOT to get accurate readings. You probably know this, but just figured I'd toss it out there just in case.
