I have done a ton of swaps, and never had to change the ECM to a 5 speed one.
Computer Question
I want to know if i convert my transmission from an AOD to a T-5, will i need to change my ECU or MAF sensor to the computer from a 5 speed? My friend recently changed his 93 notchback to a 5 speed and his tends to hesitate and cut off when he puts it in Neutral. I'm really at a crossroads wit this transmission thing, new AOD or T-5? I really want a 5 speed because of that low first gear, but i want my 89 hatch to run smoothly, plus everybody is telling me to leave it as an auto. PLEASE HELP!!! :eyebulge:

Im running a 5 speed on a auto computer. I converted and have no hesitation. Manual transmission all the way.
Not even the mass air sensor?
