I have a '95 3.8 mustang and i was at a car show earlier this summer asking questions on performance upgrades to the 95 3.8v6. One of the vendors told me to replace the ecu with one from a 1998 3.8 mustang. So that being said, is that an easy swap to make or is there options, etc. that need to be addressed? I called one of the reprograming ECU companies and he told me to ask a mustang guru on the internet if the swap would work? If i make the swap, does it just plug in and away we go? or do i need to reprogram it to match the car?

Thanks

That'll get you 5 hp.

You'd be better off going with underdrive pulleys, a K&N drop in filter, and get a chip.

you can reprogram or chip your current computer, for FAR less time, money, and aggravation than replacing the ECM.
