Convertible GT loss of horsepower?

I just purchased a GT convertible and want to know how much horsepower I should expect to lose because of the soft-top. I'm trying different sites to view some tests done with it, but only found one so far.

First, congratulations. My vert is on order and should arrive in <2 weeks.

Ditto what BlackEcho said. I don't think you lose hp. You lose a little grip, which means you can't corner and handle as well. The vert also weighs 56+/- pounds more than the coupe, so another knock to handling and braking distance is a bit longer.

You won't lose any horse power at all. When the top is up you will have same performance as any car without a convertible top. When the top is down, it changes the flow path of the air. This change in flow direction does add some drag, but it will not be noticeable by the driver.

So when the top is down you don't lose hp, but rather you are creating more drag. However, it won't be noticeable at all.

Agreed, No ponies lost , just maybe some Areo in the roof lines, up or down but even thats a guess...

No worries with that I think..
