Is there any performance difference between a regular cowl induction hood and an extended cowl induction hood?

An extended 4"-5" cowl induction hood bad idea for a street driven car?

I dont like the lift off style. Make sure you use Cervini or Harwood. And no the 4" ext is not a good idea for street.

Well it all depends on how big of an engine you wanna put! lol the hood itself is only going to slightly cool down the motor more so there wont be any noticeable power gains from a hood.

lol, I figured they would just help circulate a little more air under the hood. For the time being ill just have an explorer 302 under it. I really like the look of the cowl induction hoods too, especially the extended versions.
