Lately there has been an annoying creaking or rattling noise coming from my side windows. It appears to have something to do primarily with where the front and rear window meet. It is a 2011 convertible GT premium. I can crack the rear windows and the noise goes away. Is anyone else having this issue? Anyone know of a fix?

Lubricate the seals with silicone. Spray a little on a cloth rag and rub-a-dub-dub.

Did it suddenly get cooler where you live? With no door frames, and cooler temps you might get some squeaks. I wouldn't worry about it...

You should consult this with your Ford dealer and make sure nothing else is going on, safetyfast. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to PM me.

Since that part of the weatherstrip is felted, I don't think silicone will help. Deysha, doubt that will work but thanks. They replaced the driver's side glass for another issue and it took two visits to get it close to right and it's still not quite as good a fit on that side as it should be.

Rocks can get in there. My passenger window is completely ruined from what looks like a rock getting caught and scratching the hell out of my window. I swear they weren't there before I dropped it off for service but Ford won't honor it under warranty.

I also have a scratch into the plastic sill. Must be from a tech dragging his boots across it when they worked on my car, as I always pick my feet up, but I can't prove it. That scratch drives me nuts.

PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number and let me get it escalated for you, safetyfast.
