creaking sound in front end

I noticed a creaking sound in the front end of my 2013 GT, auto, 10,000 miles. It is not constant but some times at slow speeds, Ex. entering garage slowly and lightly applying brakes I hear a creaking sound from the front end. As I have said it does not happen all the time, yesterday it made the sound ,today it didn't. Any ideas? Thanks.

Do you hear it when going over bumps? Or is it only during flat surfaces, with low speed and light brakes?

I had two noises with my previous 2013 V6:

1) Squeaking noise going over bumps in front end: Front lower control arm
2) Clicking sound during very slow speeds and light brakes, e.g. In a drive through. The dealer said that the brakes were too dirty, they did a clean service and solved.

Control arm bushings in the front are almost certainly the suspect. If it's under warranty, take it in. They've revised them since an early '13 was made at least once, and should have a heat shield on the large rear lower bushing if they're the newest style.
yeah the hydro bushing in the front LCA makes a creaking noise sometimes. I've had mine replaced twice. Long time no creak now

Hi code rz gt,

You should bring it in to your Ford Dealer and getting it checked out. Also, be sure to speak with your service manager about these noises. He is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

You can schedule an appointment online here.
