In my ongoing teardown of my 91LX I am planning on cutting off the stock exhaust tonight. It is FULL of dents and even a few holes and I plan on putting a whole new exhaust on it when I put in the new engine and transmission. It is all rusted together so I am going to cut it off with a sawzall and some bimetal blades. I figure I will cut it as close to the headers as possible. Any suggestions?

The closer the better....It will make it easer to get those header bolts out....Unscrew your o2 sensor..

Had to cut it in about 6 places to get the whole thing out. Header bolts came out no problem so I took the headers off too. Man that exhaust was beat though. Dents and holes everywhere. On the one side there was only one loose bolt holding the cat to the header. :what:
