Guys the wait time is over.... I go get the car on the dyno in exactly 10 hours from the time I posted this. I am taking my Sony handycam camcorder to record this event in full hd and will be uploading to youtube later today. I cant believe that after all this work and effort that I will finally get to see the end results. This engine build was all me with my budget and my time. I built a fully built 2v engine with stock bore and stroke and reused my block. Many of you know what all I done to the car from other posts but I will include my mod list for everyone to see.

I am anxious to have people guess the power that I put down with the following mods. I know it is just a 2V engine and wont be making TERMI power but it still has to be impressive for a 2V.

Feel free to post your guesses on here in regards to what you think it will do.

Accel Super Coils
ZEX Nitrous Kit (currently running the 100 shot)
SCT Tuner
Trickflow 580 lift cams and valve springs

Here are some photos of the car, the engine bay, and a photo of my buddies cars. The black one is a 99 Cobra original with 19k miles on it he just bought it. The other is a 2005 GT modded a good bit for road course racing.

What's your c/r?

With those TF heads and high lift cams if you don't make AT LEAST 320rw I will be writing my Congressman to complain.

Every dyno on spray I've seen seems to make +/- like 2 hp of whatever jet size was used, so...

Congrats bro.

337whp/343wtq...my torque # is just a guess...this on motor only.

What cc are your Pistons?

Congratulations and Good luck! Looking forward to the numbers and video! Wish I wasn't sleeping due to anticipation for something like this lol (my poor newborn daughter won't sleep :( )

Pistons are +10.50 cc. SoCal if calculated correctly it should be right around 11.25:1 compression. I am taking all my nitrous jets with me and if the dyno guy thinks the car has more then I am going to try to put the biggest shot I can on the car. Thankfully there is a Jegs performance store that refills nitrous in the area just in case.

What kind of dyno was that? Mine was on a mustang dyno and they give numbers under load. The dyno my car was tuned on is named the heartbreaker. If I was to run on a chassis dyno "DynoJet" I'd be willing to bet I'd put down well over 300. My tuner told me if I did a little equation "what it was I don't recall" my numbers was like 308 320 on your typical mustang dyno. His simulates a lot of load and honestly those numbers only go so far.

I'm not knocking your build Steve but I'm not a fan of those cams. I would've definitely chose different cams if it was me. Especially if you plan on surpassing 6500 rpm's. However those are pretty good numbers man. Glad to see you got it tuned finally. Are you running on pump gas?

Thank you man, and I am not sure what kind of Dyno it was. Im thinking of swapping the headers, the throttle body, and intake tubing to be a complete 90mm setup. Thanks again.

Agree with Jon that you got a little screwed on the numbers but wtfe. That thing is gonna run down lots of unsuspecting LSx cars, you did good man.
Thanks man, that means alot. I am happy but sad at the same time, happy to have a dyno to improve off of and sad that I want more and didnt get it. LOL

I will be putting a turbo on her soon I think.

Looked good to me! With those torque numbers your 1/4 mile times will show it all!
There were a few other guys there at the dyno watching and 1 was a 3v GT and the other was a 2013 Coyote. They stared in disbelief and the 3v owner said I am going to order a nitrous system now. I enjoyed the hell out of my day there and learning what I did. Next step is convience the wife I "NEED" a turbo kit from hellion. LOL

Your numbers are good on the juice. Not many cars will keep up with you on the street. Enjoy it for what it is. Most of us on here dream of setups like this. This is what scares me on building a car...never being satisfied lol...and I know I wouldn't be even if I hit the numbers I wanted to.

Let us know your 1/4 mile time when you run it!

What clutch are you running? I didn't see that in your list.

It's all just sales.

"Listen honey, N2O is great and all but you gotta consider the ongoing cost of refilling bottles. It adds up over time. With turbo there's nothing to refill. Long term it's just more cost effective."

And then sweeten the deal with something she's been wanting.

SoCal

In this situation I think my wife would say something like "well then we aren't going to refill the bottles anymore, and you will just have to go without" or she would come up with some type of limit like once every 6 months. haha Currently we are doing a budget to help get out of debt (student loans) and the mustang is just sitting in the garage under the car cover. I did convince her that I needed to change the rear end fluid by telling her that I don't want to ruin what is already done to the car by neglecting maintenance!

Steve

If I had a newer mustang and saw a 2v pull over 400 without a supercharger or turbo on the dyno it would make me want nitrous too! You put down good numbers and should enjoy it! If you do turbo your car I would be willing to help break it in by test driving it for you!

I'm telling you not to be stuck on those numbers. I've ran a few HCI full exhaust LS1'S and they haven't gave me a problem. LS2's I've ran a couple GTO'S and I've pulled on them. Only one GTO had me worried at the beginning. I gave him the jump at a roll and I was at about 2800 rpm's. We was neck to neck until I hit about 3500 rpm's. I then waved to him and his girlfriend as I pulled away. Lol was kinda a d!ck move but hey it was a 6.0 against a 4.6! My car can look intimidating but anyone that suspects a NPI 2v is gonna get a surprise no matter the outcome. My car even sounds pretty tame at idle and cruise. However when I get in it the car comes alive.

Here is an idle clip back after the engine swap and tune.

She has given me the "GREEN LIGHT" for a turbo kit on 2 conditions. 1.) She gets a 2015 Ford Fusion. 2.) I teach her how to drive a 5 speed.

Looks like I am stuck where I am guys. If I teach her how to drive a 5 speed she is going to want to drive my Mustang. I can handle the new Fusion as I like them myself but I will not share my baby with her lmao.
