okay this started today, almost every time I start my 06 mustang v6 there is a grinding noise coming from the gauge cluster when I start the car. it starts fine but sometimes the dashboard wont even turn on for over 5 seconds or the lights will dim and flutter then finally come on. any ideas?

Sounds like a loose Cable on the Cluster, maybe one of the Plugs is coming loose, or one of the wires?
I would remove the Cluster Unit (how to´s are in the forum for Cluster replacement) and look behind the Unit. Maybe you can locate the Sound more precisely when it´s out (but not unplugged)

also may this be related to a random radio problem? it goes crazy, freezes or stay playing after ive turned off the car and opened the doors, its not often it happens but once in a blue moon?
