Daytime running lights in Canada

Hi guy's,
Just bought a Mustang GT Convertible 05 in the US, I went to a Ford dealership in the US to get installed or turned on the daytime running lights. They told me Ford didn't make a kit for 2005. Now I need to find some sort of a kit to install the DRL on my new car. It is mandatory in Canada in order to pass the safety check. Can you please help?

They should be able to turn them on. Just tell them you will bring your import form down and they can call the Ford Hotline and tell Ford that the car was exported to Canada and provide the number on the top right of the import form and hook up their little computer to under the dash on the left side and Ford will tell them what to punch in and that will turn the lights on. Bought my 06 GT Premium new in Conrad Montana and went through this procedure and watched them do this and the DRL's came on. If a little hick town of about 3000 population, (Conrad, Mt.) was able to do this here then it should be a simple matter in the vaunted east. Worked for me in Alberta. Check my earlier posts.
