I have another issue with this car! I have an 88 mustang fox. However, i bought it carburated from who knows what year ford. I have been struggling in getting replacement parts i.e cap and rotor, coil, etc I finally found a possible match..a 1973 mustang. I replaced the cap and rotor, ignition coil, starter solenoid (on fender). I went to start it and it wouldnt crank over! I turned the key off and the engine would NOT stop cranking over!! I freaked out and yanked the negative terminal off and it stopped. Ive never experienced anything like this??? What happened?? can anyone advise??? Need help! i'm planning to drive to Myrtle Beach for Mustang Week on Sunday...Please help me get there

thanks

Just the solenoid. Be glad it wasn't a computerized car, you could've fried the computer by yanking a cable.
