i have a 95 gt auto vert.
yes the slow of the slow. ;)
im getting my gears done, but frankly i dont know the difference between the 3.73's and 4.10's?
do i love more gas mileage with one? is one fast 0-60 instead of 60+
this car is my daily driver so i dont want to sacrifice to much gas mileage but i definitely wanna jump off that line and keep it going past 60mph.
:thanks:

4.10's will give the acceleration you want.....

the mileage difference is not enough to worry about....

As long as you have the capable rpms to turn, the 4.10's will out accelerate from any stand point, wether its 0-60 60-100 or 100-Mach2.

I went from a 2.73 to a 3.73 in my Stang and the gas mileage is exactly the same, but with the 3.73 it feels like a totally different car. The best mod out of the long list that I've done.
Since you have the heavier vert, a 4.10 might be a better choice.

I had 410 and i would run out of gear before the end of the 1/4 and it drank the gas . I now have 373 and they are all around better . At 65 mph with the 410 the rpm was at 3000 with the 373 it only at 2500 if drive more than race its your choice

Would there be a difference in RPM's in 331 with 4.10 gears compared to the RPM's with 4.10 gears in 302? I guess in other words would 4.10 gears work better in a bigger displacement engine? Are does it totally depend on what transmission you are running?

rpms would be the same, thats transmission dependent....

but, you want to decide which gears you want, by where your car makes its torque. im not sure if your 331 has nice heads/intake on it or not...but try and match your gears with your powerband.

I went from 3.73 to 4.56 and it made a huge difference. Being a 5 speed it's still not bad on the highway. I can do 70 or so @ 2500 RPM.

That must be an awesome 5th gear to see only 2500 at around 70 mph.

I knew Reggie had a trick up his sleeve, instead of racing at the track, He runs them over.
