You need to check the Pushrod length with a pushrod checker and a set of light duty springs and a lifter converted to a solid lifter.

Almost no engine is the same. And many factors effect the Pushrod length. The only accurate way is to check.

Since the heads and cam are changing, this is a must.:bigthumbsup

Without reading the whole question, the answer is a loud yes. Stock pushrods are mild steel and will bend at any type of performance valve spring. Hardened rods are affordable and it makes no sense to skimp and reuse weak rods in a performance engine.
