Do i need different PUSH RODS??

ALLRIGHT i have the proformer heads and a z303 Cam right. The block is a 306 with low comp pistions with a SC on it. Do i need to change my pushrods?? Cuz the z303 cam has a .552 lift .If i use the ford racing ones will the valves hit the pistons?? What size and kind of push rods i need!!!Thanks for the help guys.

I would get stronger ones anyways. Those stock ones are weak. Get some chrome moly push rods.
What about the size??
the length depends on how the rockers are sitting on the valve stem. you need a push rod checker and dial it in till the rocker is riding in the center of the stem.....then measure the lenght and thats the size you need
Yes, Smith Brothers sells an adjustable (~$15 or so) made to use with your normal springs (some will not hold up to the pressure of anyting but light checker springs) and will sell you chrome moly pushrods at a custom length (~$170) or a standard length that is very close (~$100). The size of the stock PR is 5/16".
